About Me

My name is Jacinta Byrne and I have over 20 years experience working with people in the public sector and the voluntary sector.

I am a very proud mother of 4 beautiful children, a wife to an amazingly supportive husband, a sister, a daughter, an auntie and a friend to many awesome human beings.

As a child, I would have always been seen as the caring one who wanted to help others solve their problems and worries. During my late childhood/early adulthood, my sense of self continued to be connected more and more with how others saw me and how I could help those important to me to become more resilient and happier in themselves.

The missing link for me however was that I never stopped to think and understand how focusing so much on the needs of others could impact my own health and wellbeing.

It was in my late 30’s when I noticeably began to lose energy, my sense of self and experience pain daily. I continued to experience this excruciating pain for 10 years. With the support of my family, friends and a great general practitioner and consultant, I was finally diagnosed with perimenopause and endometriosis. Despite the best efforts of all and many tried interventions, in 2023, I underwent a radical hysterectomy. I am now learning how to be the new version of me while I navigate life through the lens of a surgically induced menopause.

It was the above life experiences together with many others that made me stop and refocus. I needed a new way to care for myself while being a mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend. This is when I discovered mindfulness and I have never looked back.

In June 2021, I qualified as a teacher in Mindfulness, Meditation and Positive Psychology from the Irish Mindfulness Academy. In March 2024, I completed a Professional Diploma in Mentoring and Coaching.

Combining my mindfulness & coaching knowledge and techniques from the above courses, I will work to create a safe space to enable individuals and groups to reflect on the issues that are important for them and develop skills that will build on their resilience, self-worth, confidence and performance levels.

I can work on a one-to-one basis or in groups, offering WhatsApp support between meetings. Meetings will be tailored and personalised in length and content according to the needs of the individual and/or groups. I will focus on the use of Neuroscience based Mindfulness techniques, Jess Resilience Building Model and other coaching tools to support individuals and groups. I will strive to assist them to bring their own true potential and self to the forefront.
